The new Russian IFV has a crew of three (3) and can carry up to nine (9) infantrymen.

T-15 Armata is one of the best-protected infantry fighting vehicles in the world having a weight of 48 tons.

T-15 heavy IFV has steel and ceramic composite armour equivalent of 1,200–1,400 mm vs HEAT.

T-15 Armata can be equipped with three types of turrets.

There is a variant using a Bumerang-BM remote weapon station turret with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon.

The Bumerang-BM RWS turret can use 9M133 Kornet-EM anti-tank missiles and as a secondary weapon a 7.62 mm PKT coaxial machine gun with 500 AP/HE rounds.

It can also be equipped with a DUBM-57 Kinzhal remote weapon station turret with a 57 mm BM-57 autocannon.

This turret is fitted with Ataka-T ATGM missiles.

A third variant has an AU-220M Baikal remote weapon station with the same 57 mm BM-57 autocannon, 9M120-1 Ataka ATGM missiles, and a coaxial PKMT machine gun.

T-15 Armata IFV is powered by a 1,500 hp multifuel diesel engine coupled to an automatic transmission.

It has an operational range of 550 km (340 mi) and can reach a maximum speed of 65-70 km/h (40-43 mph) on road.
