Tulpar infantry fighting vehicle

Tulpar IFV is a Turkish tracked infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) designed and manufactured by Otokar.

The production of the vehicles started in 2012, two prototypes being built with a price per unit of $1.2 million.

Tulpar IFV has a standard mass of 32 tons with a maximum of 42 tons depending on the configuration.

Its length is 7.23 m, its width 3.40 m and its height including the turret reaches 2.67 m.

It has a crew of three (3) including the commander, the gunner and the driver and can carry up to nine (9) troopers.

The main gun is a 30 mm dual-feed cannon and as secondary armament, it has a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun.

Tulpar IFV is powered either by a 410 kW Scania DSI 14 litres or by an 810 hp (595 kW) Scania DSI 16, V8 Diesel engine, having a power-to-weight ratio of around 24.1 hp/tonne.

It is equipped with a SAPA SG-850, 32-Speed Automatic transmission and has torsion bar suspension.

Tulpar infantry fighting vehicle has an operational range of 600 km and can reach a maximum speed of 70 km/h on road.
