It can reach a maximum operational range of 3,800 nautical miles (7,000 km; 4,400 mi) when navigating at a constant speed of 14 knots (26 km/h; 16 mph).

A Steregushchiy surface combatant has an endurance of 15 days.

Complement of the Steregushchiy class corvette

Each Steregushchiy-class unit has a complement of 90 members.

Sensors and processing systems installed on Steregushchiy class corvettes

Steregushchiy is equipped with a Furke 2 air search radar.

Export variants use either the Furke-E, the Positiv-ME1, or the SMILE Thales radars.

The surface search radar is a Granit Central Scientific Institute Garpun-B/3Ts-25E/PLANK SHAVE radar.

The onboard sensors are completed by the Monument targeting radar and by the Ratep 5P-10E Puma fire control radar for A-190 main naval gun.

For anti-submarine warfare, Steregushchiy is fitted with the Zarya-M bow mounted sonar and the Vinyetka low frequency active/passive towed array sonar.

The export variants use the Zarya-ME bow mounted sonar suite.

The navigation system used by Steregushchiy is the Gorizont-25 integrated navigation system.

Electronic warfare & decoys installed on the Steregushchiy class

Steregushchiy corvettes are equipped with the TK-25E-5 ECM electronic warfare (EW) suite and have four PK-10 decoy launchers as countermeasures.

Armament of the Steregushchiy class corvettes

Steregushchiy corvettes use either the 100 mm A-190 Arsenal or the 130 mm A-192 as main naval guns.

The Project 20380 Steregushchiy subclass is equipped with the Kashtan CIWS-M.

For naval warfare, Steregushchiy units have at their disposal a total of eight Kh-35 (SS-N-25) anti-ship missiles.

Project 20381 units are fitted with a 12-cell vertical launch system (VLS) hosting Redut interceptors.

Two AK-630 CIWS systems are also installed aboard the ships.
